Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 only 36 MB For PC

Released last year for the Game Boy Advance, Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Fighters managed to break the trend of terrible 2D Dragon Ball Z fighting games that dated all the way back to the SNES. It certainly wasn't the most technical fighter, but it was responsive and good looking, and it generally captured the kinetic vibe of DBZ. Its sequel has now arrived on the DS, making a half-hearted effort to adapt to the two-screen format and the greater technical muscle of the DS. It's still a light and enjoyable fighter, especially for DBZ fans, but it's too similar to its predecessor to get very excited about.


The Z Fighters team up once again to face the usual rogue's gallery of villains.
The general structure of Supersonic Warriors 2 is the same as its predecessor: Two fighters duke it out in the appropriately overblown Dragon Ball Z style, flying through the air, throwing waves of energy at each other, and occasionally turning blonde. The action is often team-based, which means that you can swap out your fighters on the fly and occasionally call on your teammates to perform special attacks. Switching characters and launching special attacks is all handled via the touch screen, with the action always residing on the upper screen. The action is fast-paced enough to make looking down at the lower screen awkward, limiting the usefulness of the game's team tactics.

Supersonic Warriors was never particularly tactical to begin with, and number two doesn't change that. A little button-mashing will get you far in Supersonic Warriors 2, and it doesn't take much finesse to perform strong and weak attacks, throws, or energy attacks. The number of attacks is fairly limited, and the game definitely favors high-energy ranged attacks over up-close fisticuffs. The blocking system has changed since the first Supersonic Warriors, eschewing the timing-based system for an endurance-based blocking mechanic. You can block with the B button whenever you please, but every attack that you deflect adds to a meter that, when filled, drops your character's guard and stuns him or her for a few seconds. Though perhaps not as elegant as the timing-based mechanics, it still helps provide balance and keeps the pace of the fights going at a good clip.

There are a few different ways to play Supersonic Warriors 2. Those looking to familiarize themselves with the mechanics and find the perfect team of characters can go through the tutorial and free battle modes. If you want to go head-to-head with another real-life player, you can engage in an ad hoc Wi-Fi match, provided both parties have their own copy of the game. The Z Battle mode puts you up against some increasingly challenging opponents, while the story mode presents you with unique "what if?" scenarios for each of the characters in the game. Playing through the different stories is key--you can unlock new characters and abilities--but it's also astonishingly easy; while the combatants will start giving you a good run for your money pretty early on, it's rare to lose a match in the story mode.


The improvements made over the original Supersonic Warriors here are incremental at best.
Supersonic Warriors 2 takes the 2D character sprites from the original, which still look pretty good, and places them in front of polygonal backdrops. The action is still limited to two dimensions, but the 3D backdrops add some depth to the proceedings, and fairly well capture the familiar Dragon Ball Z locales. The sound also features plenty of familiar synthesized Dragon Ball Z musical themes, as well as voice samples of the American anime voice cast and sound effects from the show. It is, if nothing else, authentic.

Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 is still OK, but considering the orders of magnitude by which the first Supersonic Warriors improved upon the gag-inducing Dragon Ball Z: Taiketsu, it's disappointing how superficial the changes found here are. Those satisfied with more of the same, along with marginally improved visuals, will do fine with Supersonic Warriors 2.

If the following few sentences don't deflate your interest in this game, then it might be worth picking up. In Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans you play as a wide range of heroes from the popular anime series, from Goku to Tien to Krillin as they move through events based largely on the Vegeta Saga, starting just before the arrival of Raditz on Earth. The hook here is the game is actually a traditional turn-based role-playing game instead of a twitchy fighter. Just so you don't get the wrong idea, that means you won't be hammering out strings of attacks in real-time, but rather inputting menu commands for attacks, item use, and special abilities. You'll also need to bring with you an appreciation for the series, since if you aren't aware of what a Kamehameha is or why anyone should care about King Kai or Snake Road or collecting Dragon Balls in the first place, the story here isn't presented in a way that makes it easy for a total newcomer to understand. The gameplay itself, however, is enjoyable. It's nothing revolutionary, but it's a sturdy enough system that should be appreciated by any genre fan.

It is the first game to be released on the PlayStation 3-based System 357 arcade board.[5] At the 2008 Tokyo Game Show, it was announced the console version ofTekken 6 will include the new stages and characters of Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion, while the PlayStation Portable version will feature additional content to its console counterparts.[6] On October 9th 2009, it was announced that development of Tekken 6 had ceased, and development on the title finished, ready for mass production of the title.

Tekken 6, which will be released on October 27 for the PS3, PSP, and Xbox 360, is the sequel to Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection which have been well-received by fans of the "Tekken" fighting games. Katsuhiro Hirada, game director for Tekken 6 and previous Tekken games, said that the stages will be bigger and will have more interactivity,[8] such as walls or floors that can be broken to reveal new fighting areas.[9] The character customizationfeature has been enhanced, and will be more involved with the gameplay.[8]

A new "rage" system has been added, which gives characters more power when their vitality is low. When activated, a red energy field surrounds the character and their health bar starts to flicker red.The rage aura can be customized in customization mode. [10] Another gameplayfeature added is the "bound" system. If certain conditions are met, such as slamming the opponent strongly to the ground or falling in a multi-tiered stage, the opponent will bounce back from the ground, allowing bigger combos and new techniques.

Mortal Kombat Mythology Sub-Zero (highly compressesd)

MK Mythologies: Sub Zero is unique in that it's the first game in the Mortal Kombat franchise developed exclusively for the home systems. In addition, the game marks the first time a different genre has been explored with the bloody fighting series. With Mythologies, the development team has tried to blend the fighting style that made Mortal Kombat famous with a side-scrolling 2D engine and has even thrown in some token RPG elements for good measure.

Mythologies focuses on the adventures of Sub-Zero, one of the most popular characters in the fighting franchise. The storyline is a simple one: Sub Zero, a feared Lin Kuei warrior, is contracted by the sorcerer, Shao, to retrieve the hidden map of elements. On his quest Sub-Zero encounters Scorpion, who is guarding the artifact. A fight breaks out and, once defeated, Sub-Zero learns of ulterior motives, lies and the rest of his journeys. And so you have it. It's not much of a story, but those of us who have seen the horrible movies knew that, didn't we?

Utilizing an ugly 2D engine, dithered backgrounds, and indifferent rotation/scaling effects, the game is visually unimpressive. Polygonal foregrounds have been implemented simply for added looks as they do nothing for gameplay. A fixed camera generally captures the action from a zoomed-out view, but occasionally zooms in as Sub-Zero goes from place to place. On a brighter side, the lighting effects in the game are up to par, illuminating characters as they come closer to lit objects and so on. The PlayStation version of MK Mythologies, however, is identical to the Nintendo 64 version graphically and it has FMV cut-scenes instead of screen-shots and text torture-scenes. Way to take advantage of that power. In all honesty, if we were told that Midway had slipped a Sega Genesis emulator into the cart to run this game we wouldn't be the least bit surprised.

What Mythologies lacks in graphic prowess it lacks even more in the gameplay department. Sub Zero jumps, kicks, punches and snaps multiple hit combos as he progresses through the game. Jumping is performed via the analog stick or the control pad. Midway opted not to go with jump button as it might have made the game playable. Even worse, turning around is performed via the B button. Wouldn't it have been more practical to of used one of the buttons for jumping and instead made turning around available through the control pad or analog stick? Players are expected to ignore instinct (which constantly suggests pressing left or right to turn around) and instead press a button to perform the task. When engaged in a battle, especially when multiple enemies are on-screen, this becomes more than just a nuisance. It's unintuitive control at its very best.
